Some residents of Ayigbe town, Weija-Gbawe constituency in the Greater Accra region has invoked curses on National Highway Authority ( NHA) , Hon. Patrick Kumor who is the MCE for the area, Hon. Tina Mensah who is also a member of parliament and the president of Ghana.
This curse was as a result of the 20th person who was knocked down by a truck at Ayigbe town yesterday.
Many souls have been lost due to the speed by drivers and lack of foot bridges” they said.
They demonstrated to show their displeasure some few months ago but authorities in charge have turned deaf ears to their plea.
They added that, the situation have forced them to hold a vigil and that caused them to invoke the curses to deal with the authorities.
Speaking in an interview with the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Weija-Gbawe Hon. Patrick Kumor on Dofopa FM, he mentioned that, it is not his responsibility to fix traffic lights but rather Ghana Highway Authority is responsible for that.
He further said that, the people of Ayigbe town also contribute to their own misfortunes because, some of them are always pressing or receiving calls when crossing the road.
Before getting the situation mended, residents should calm down for the government to get the situation solved.
