E- levy bill which was introduced in 2021 by the ruling Government as part of their measures to minimize the cumbersome burden on the economy and as well with the aim of creating jobs to curb youth unemployment has finally been passed.
The bill raised a lot of controversy on the internet, Ghanaians and amongst some ministers and members of parliament who believed it wasn’t inappropriate.
The minority in parliament also raised concerns with it passage and on Tuesday,29th April 2022, the bill has been approved.
Reports reaching dofopafm 105.1 states that the majority in parliament passed the bill while the minority caucus had staged a walkout call.
