Assembly member for Anyaa west electoral area Hon. Michael Acquah has stated that, lack of machines for the voter registration is causing the spread of the virus.
According to him, this exercise is very important to every Ghanaian and that has encouraged most people to partake in the registration.
“Most people are registering as a result of casting their vote come 7th December, 2020 and also to aid them filling the forms when the need be”.
Mr. Acquah mentioned that, since all the machines for the registration is not ready, it has caused most people in Ga west to move all the way to Ga east for the registration.
“We the assembly members are most times not part of any stakeholders meetings and for that reason such issues when brought to us, are difficult for us to handle”.
He is therefore pleading with the EC to ensure that; at least one machine for each centre will help calm the spread of the virus.
Ghanaians should try and adhere to the safety protocols that have been put in place and by so doing; the spread of the virus will be curtailed.
