Kumasi Asante Kotoko are reportedly to have asked their headline sponsor, MTN Ghana to increase their sponsorship money from Ghc 600,000 to Ghc 1MILLION a year.
For now, MTN gives Kotoko Ghc50,000 a month and per calculation, Kotoko now needs Ghc 83,333.33 a month.
It is also rumoured that Vodafone, who are also MTN”s main competitor, are ready to give Kotoko more than what MTN is currently paying and naturally Kotoko might move to them if their demand is not addressed.
It is understood that, the Porcupine Warriors and MTN are still negotiating and we will furnish you with the update as soon as they come to conclusion.
