The Police in Tamale have arrested a 38-year-old armed robber Alhassan Imrani after they were tipped off on his whereabouts after fleeing Tema where he engaged in series of robberies
According to the Police, Alhassan Imrani was involved in an armed robbery at Tema prior to fleeing to Tamale.
The Police after his arrest at Banvim a suburb of the Tamale Metropolis, found in possession 3 foreign-made Pistols, 4 mobile phones, 1 black HP laptop, 1 AK47 assault rifle bat, 1 G3 empty magazine, 6 registered vehicle number plates, 1 plier, 98- auto 45 live Ammunitions, 165 auto 389 live Ammunitions, 4 pistol empty cartridges when a search was conducted at his residence.
Also, the Police found 1 white Toyota Highlander with registration number GW 3241-20 were retrieved from his house.
The Police extended its search to a car spraying shop where one ash color Toyota Highlander with it front and rear bumpers removed suspected to have been snatched at gunpoint in Tema, were recovered and same is kept for the evidential purpose.
The suspect has since been detained to assist in investigations.
